Stars–they’re just like us. ‘Gossip Girl’ hottie Ed Westwick idolizes David Beckham so much, he still can’t get himself to say hello to him.

Westwick admits he was a big fan of Beckham growing up and idolized him well into his teens, so when he runs into him at star studded events, he gets so starstruck he won’t speak to him.

He tells U.K. magazine Reveal, “I was at this ball in New York that was so grand David Bowie was sitting at the next table and shook hands with George Clooney.

“Then I went to the toilet and there was David Beckham. I couldn’t say anything, I just ran out. A friend tried to persuade me to say, ‘Hello,’ but I couldn’t do it. It was ridiculous. But I had a Beckham shirt when I was a kid and he was the one I watched growing up.”

He adds, “There have been a couple of times now that I’ve been in the same room as him, but I just can’t go up to him. I can’t do it.”admin-rs-post-main

Funny thing is there are thousands of girls who are so infatuated with Westwick (or his character Chuck) that they feel the same way about him. So if you’re a big Westwick fan, next time you see him you can tell him you’re a fan of his the way he is of David Beckham’s. That should break the ice quickly.

I’ve taken the time to replace the on-set pictures of Ed from December 14th with medium quality untagged versions as well as add 2 more episode stills of Ed from the 5th episode “The Serena Also Rises” in addition to adding 12 additional stills of from the 13th episode “O Brother, Where Bart Thou”, all of which are high quality except two.

I just stumbled across these and though their medium quality and lightly tagged in the corner there definitely worth a look, that is unless your remaining spoiler free (though their not all too spoilery). I’ve added 6 Episode Stills from the next episode to air on January 5th which will be the season’s 14th episode named “In The Realm of the Basses”.
