Gemma Arterton to star opposite Ed Westwick in the new movie

Hollywood actress Gemma Arterton is gearing up to act in a forthcoming flick based on teen drama ‘Wuthering Heights’.

The producers decided to feature Gemma in the flick because they thought that the original stars, Merle Oberon and Laurence Olivier, were too old to portray the characters in the adaptation of Emily Bronte’s novel.

Gemma, who will portray Cathy, will act opposite Ed Westwick in the flick produced by Robert Bernstein.

“We have cast it as written. Heathcliff is a teen and the story takes him into his early 20s. Cathy is just as young. It’s radical because usually actors playing these characters are much older,” The Telegraph quoted Robert as saying.

The forthcoming flick ‘Wuthering Heights’ will be directed by Peter Webber. (ANI)

  3. yayy eddie.. cannot wait to see him on the big screen.. it’s gonna be HOTTTT..!!!

  4. Umm what kind of reporting is this? Laurence Olivier’s been dead for years. And Wuthering Heights is only a “teen drama” maybe in the sense that the characters are teenagers, but it’s hardly what that phrase usually denotes.

It’s a nice concept, but it’s also been done by MTV before (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0367245), very, very badly at that. I wouldn’t get my hopes up if I were you.

  5. It is hysterical that studio execs have decided that Lawrence Olivier and Merle Oberon are too old to play the parts in Wuthering Heights since they have both been dead for years. Who wrote this article? Can I have their job?

  6. … mm awesome
