Chace Crawford & Ed Westwick Are Still Friends!
Published on July 29th, 2009 ∙ Posted by Criss

Don’t worry, everyone — hunky Chace Crawford and ugly Ed Westwick are still BFFs!

When Chace moved out of the New York apartment he shared with his Gossip Girl costar, speculation the pair had fallen out reached fever-pitch.

But sources close to the twosome insist they’re still on good terms — and hanging out more than ever.

“Chace and Ed are best friends,” a source told the National Enquirer. “That’s not going to change anytime soon.

“They’re hanging out even more, now that Chace has moved out.”

Chace, 24, was said to have moved because Ed, 22, is too messy.

“The truth is,” the source added, “they’re both total slobs.

“What happened is that Chace just wanted a place of his own with more privacy.

“Ed has become more serious with his girlfriend, Jessica Szohr, and Chace was feeling a bit like a third wheel.”

Love Stings for ‘Gossip’ gal Jessica Szohr, Ed Westwick
Published on July 21st, 2009 ∙ Posted by Criss

We’ve got the gossip on “Gossip Girl” starlet Jessica Szohr, who plays Vanessa Abrams on the show, and real-life boyfriend Ed Westwick, who also appears on the CW teen soap opera as Chuck Bass .

The couple, who have reportedly been dating since last Thanksgiving and even shared a double date with Westwick’s parents in New York City, were planning a romantic weekend together at Foxwoods Resort and Casino .

However, Jessica, who made an appearance at the resort’s nightclub Shrine, ended up arriving solo, and when asked about her relationship with Westick, she kept mum. “I don’t discuss my personal life,” Szohr said.

Maybe that’s because there’s some trouble in paradise.

Westwick was supposed to join Szohr at the casino yesterday to take in last night’s Sting concert. However, our spies report that he was a no-show and all didn’t go as planned. This is a big deal considering Ed is a huge fan of the English musician. Our spies also tell us that Jessica was overheard arguing throughout the night with someone on her cell phone. Draw your own conclusions.

I Love You, Ed Westwick

New Yorkers are supposed to be cool about celebrities. We’re supposed to not notice them, and be embarrassed by those who do, especially if they act giddy and/or crazy. Here at Daily Intel, we have a history of wholly screwing this up. For instance, when Intel Chris met Jude Law at an event, he was unable to stop his entire body from visibly shaking. Intel Jessica has the common but arguably more embarrassing problem of mistaking celebrities for people she knows. Always. It’s like a disorder. The worst was just this past spring, when she ran into Keri Russell, who she used to see at her coffee shop all the time until she moved neighborhoods, and, somehow forgetting that Keri Russell wasn’t actually her friend, started toward her to say hi. (Thankfully, the “Do I need to call security” look on Russell’s face stopped her in her tracks before further awkwardness came to pass.) Having had these experiences, we have nothing but empathy and even admiration for people who — despite the awkwardness and the uncoolness — have the courage to actually make an attempt to interact with someone they truly admire. That’s what happened to commenter Polish Perogi last night, who, after months of stalking around Chelsea hoping for a Chuck Bass sighting, finally caught sight of him at a Japanese restaurant in her neighborhood. Her full report is after the jump. If you’re inclined, we’d love you to send in yours, or put it in the comments.
